Inspiration: Try Stampin' on Tuesday #405
I totally loved the Broadway Lights suite when I saw this year's catalogue - and was totally bummed that it was not translated to French. For this reason, I initially only ordered the Designer Series Paper, but I was able to secure some free merchandise during Sale-A-Bration, so I finally decided to get the bundle as well. This is my first creation with it. Isn't the marquee really cool? This is the piece that I see myself using the most, probably in my scrapbook album as well.
I used the retro border die on the green striped paper and lined the back with Gold glimmer paper to fill out the pieces. The back of the striped paper has some gold on it, so I used one of the leftover pieces on the balloon for a totally cool detail! (The balloon felt a little bare, but adding this piece like a reflection on it totally dressed it up.) The balloon was actually added at the last minute as the card didn't feel complete.
I used the marquee again on the envelope for the address section, and I used Designer Series Paper from the same pack to make the envelope.

Cindy - lovely card! I like how you used the marquee on both the card and envelope! You, know, the marquee would work also by substituting some of your French stamps you already have in your stash! Love your bold colors, too. Thank you for sharing once again some of your great card ideas with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!!! -Donna
