Inspiration: Just Us Girls #482 (Houses) + Simon Says Stamp Wednesday (No Designer Paper)
The colors of this card were inspired by last week's Color Throwdown challenge but unfortunately, I missed the submission deadline due to a power outage that lasted more than 24 hours. We had a icy rain storm and the power went out in a big chunk of the city. The weather is still pretty cold outside so by the next morning, it was pretty chilly in my condo. I'm really happy to have everything up and running again.
The ghosts are a little out of season, but I've been wanting the Booyah set for the longest time and I was only able to purchase it after Halloween, so it was my first time inking this one up. I like how the sky turned out, and I used the Leafy Tree Backdrop to have a tree in the forefront and create depth. I added texture to the tree using the Woodgrain Backdrop (I do wish the texture was going up and down instead of from side to side, though). The houses were die-cut with the Village Border and I didn't add the little pieces on the back since my sky was yellow and the color showing through the openings worked.
The "Hey Ghould Friend" sentiment fitted perfectly on the new Fancy Wavy Banners dies (I predict I'll be using those a lot). With this sentiment, I feel the card can be used for more than Halloween time.

What a fun card, Cindy. I love your inked background and I may use your combo of Distress Inks on a card I'm working on right now. The houses in the background make an eerie scene and are perfect for our House challenge. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
