Inspiration: MFT Color Challenge #110
I loved the soft colours from the MFT challenge. My initial inspiration was baby card, but when looking at my MFT collection, I couldn't really find anything that worked well for a baby card, so I grabbed a couple of other options and the Polar Bear Pals was the one that spoke to me the most. I then decided I would do a double slider card because the waving bear seemed like a good image to have pop out of the side sliders. (Initially, I wanted to use both waving bears, one on each side, but when I placed the stamps on each side, the dimension just felt off, so I siwtched to the bear doing the split instead.)
The finished card looks relatively simple compared to some of my more embellished creation, but it still took quite a few hours to finish. Tons of ink blending, stenciling, stamping abd coloring, plus de double-slider assembly. (It's only the second I make and the first time I was using the blocker to get shorter panels.) All the way until I was done, I kept wondering if the card was too bare, but I finally convinced myself that adding more might detract from the design rather than improve on it.
