Inspiration: Clean&Simple #101 + Just Add Ink #438
The new Lawn Fawn Valentine release is here! I figured the koala set would work well with the Clean&Simple sketch, and the Just Add Ink color combo was also perfect since I needed pink for the love theme, green for the grass and I chose aqua as my third color for the sky.
I've always loved the line sentiments, but they've all been in English, so I got very excited when I saw the XOXOXO, which totally works in French as well. It was easy to work into the design as well.
I lined the card base with diagonal stripe paper from the Polka in the Meadow 6" x 6" paper pad. It seemed a little bare, so I tried adding a stitched rectangle frame. Tried black, found it too harsh. Tried white, still wasn't sure. I was thinking maybe just doing handdrawn stitching with a black pen, but I gave the frame a last-ditch effort with aqua cardstock and I decided I liked the look, so this option won.
