Inspiration: Page Maps January 2019 + Lasting Memory Layout challenge #427 (3 or more patterned papers)
Sometimes, it pays to wait a while before scrapbooking pictures. Those date back almost a decade and I was in the mood to work with holidays papers, which is how they wound up back on my desk. The story behind the pictures is that our office had a 1920s-themed party and my colleague handpainted a pair of black shoes so that he would have a black and white pair to wear at dinner. He did a very nice job and I was pretty impressed! I had black and white shoes, too, but mine were store-bought. It was sheer dumb luck that we picked the 1920's theme that year (I was on the planning committee, back then) - retro was back in fashion and I easily found a cloche hat, black and white shoes and a pearl necklace. Fond memories of a great night!
The papers I used are from the Carta Bella's A Very Merry Christmas collection, and their retro feel is just perfect for my pictures. It was one of those times where the ideas just kept coming and everything I tried out was working to my liking. If only creating was always this easy!
