This quick and easy card was inspired by the sketch from Create with Connie and Mary #522. The beautiful Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper allowed me to quickly put together a background for the foliage I added with the Tropical Chic and matching Thinlits dies. The sentiment reads, "With Love and Gratitude." Petal Pink rhinestone gems (AC, p. 197) were added on each side. This card will be going to one of my downline members to congratulate her on her sales.
TIP: The Rock 'n Roll technique used to work well back when Stampin' Up! had felt ink pad. With the new foam pads - not so much. It creates too much of a harsh line between the two colours. I find that using a sponge dauber produces better results and blending. You can see I blended Granny Apple Green and Spruce Shadow on one of the branches. I don't have a dauber per ink colour, but I have one for each shade: pale blue, dark blue, pale green, dark green, pink, red, yellow, orange, kraft, brown, black, etc. With about a dozen daubers, I have enough to not get my colours muddled. I use small Avery stickers on the black part of the dauber to identify the colour and add Scotch tape over it to keep it clean (which was my original system), but now that I have a label maker, that would work well, too.
