Inspiration: Fusion challenge (Galaxy)
When I first experimented with my Nuvo shimmer powders, I ended up with a very nice background that looked like a starry sky, so I put it aside to pair with the Beam Me Up set from Lawn Fawn. When I saw the galaxy Fusion challenge, I decided to make this card happen.
I lost count of how many hours I spent on this card, but it was created over the span of two days! It took forever because I had too many ideas and I had a hard time deciding which one to go for. In the end, I made my own French sentiment, and it reads “Best Mom in the Universe.” I paired the small and tall aliens together and made sure to color them the same color so that they looked like family. As I was putting the card together, I decided that I really wanted to include one of my original ideas back in the project, which was to have the spaceship light up. So I pulled out my Chibitronics supplies and three lights from the Tropical set (green, orange, purple) to light up the front of the spaceship. I placed the battery under the word “mom” and I placed a little instructions strip inside the card, saying to press the word mom for a surprise.
