The starting point for that page was the Calendar Girl collection from Bo Bunny. I've had it for a while and I decided to pick a month and go looking for pictures taken during that month. Last year, I was invited to a going away party for my former boss in November, so that's where the page started from. Since the pack includes die-cuts but only one patterned paper per month, I looked for others papers to match with it, and I realized that I could draw inspiration from the Color Throwndown #495 for colors. As I was looking for navy patterned paper, I actually found a really old sheet of paper from Junkitz (only long-time scrapbookers will remember that company, I'm sure) that incorporated all the right colors.
The rest of my design came from a December 2017 Page Maps sketch that was adapted from 8½" x 11" to 12" x 12". I had too much journaling to fit comfortably on the page without changing the design, so I did a pull out tab behind the striped paper instead. The sparkly chipboard pieces and metal frame are from Making Memories, so they are probably as old as the Junkitz paper is. The little row of beading on the right side is also some super old supplies I purchased right when I first started scrapbooking. I found the beads recently while looking for something else and put it aside to try and use. I ended up separating the colours for another project, where I only used the mauve and green beads, so I had kept the leftover blue beads aside and I decided they could work on this page. It felt good to give new life to old supplies.
