The latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge #23 was to try something new. I hadn't tried their pivot pop-up yet and was dying to, so I went hunting through my stamps to decide what I would make a scene with. I decided to use Duh-Nuh and create an underwater scene.
On the front of the card, I used the shark fin and spelled the French version of duh-nuh with alphabet dies and stamps. The little clouds came directly from the Pivot Pop-Up dies set. Even though my chosen colour scheme includes yellow, I made sure not to use it on the front of the card, to keep things a little dark and ominous, just to match the shark scene. Then, I made the inside bright and colorful to mark a difference.
I went a little more complex inside, inking the pop-up part with Distress Oxide inks and borrowing images from Mermaid for You to complete the scene. Pairing various stamps and dies, I spelled "A new year is approaching" and I added "Happy Birthday stamped underneath, in the card. I used additional images from the same sets to decorate above and underneath the pop-up. The two rectangles were die-cut using the Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies from Watercolor Wishes patterned paper.
