Year after year, I've seen colors in fashion and home decor that match the In Color shades issued by Stampin' Up! in their latest catalogue. This year's release was no exception: when I pulled the Ikea catalogue out of my mailbox, I couldn't help but notice that the striking colours they've used in the decor shown on their cover include hues that very closely resemble Tranquil Tide and Powder Pink. I was inspired to go to my cardstock to find a similar combo. I settled on Basic Grey + Smoky Slate + Daffodil Delight + Tranquil Tide + Powder Pink + Soft Sky. There's something both soft and modern about the result. I was looking at stamp sets to find something that would mesh well with the combo and decided to use Hello Friend, which also has a delicate yet modern twist to it.
This card is uncomplicated - it only mixes ink, cardstock and a few embellishments - but the result still looks intricate. The design was inspired by the Global Design Project challenge #106.
