Today's card was inspired by Create with Connie and Mary #438, Inkspire Me #281 and CAS(E) This Sketch #202. When I saw the sketch, I thought it would be a good opportunity to use the bokeh stamps from the Twinkle Trees stamp set. Because of the bokeh images, this stamp set will transition towards the rest of the year and can be used for any other occasion outside of the Holidays. Here, I was inspired to make a new year card by combining the first set with It's a Celebration (another favorite for its versatility).
The sentiment was stamped twice: in Smoky Slate and then VersaMark embossed in Silver powder, to create a shadow. After the background and sentiment were stamped, the card felt a little bare, so I added a piece of silver glimmer ribbon and topped it with the bow from the Pretty Pines Thinlits set.
