I'm sharing today the one item from the Holidays Catalogue I was most looking forward to receiving and playing with: the Detailed Santa Thinlits and its matching stamp set Greetings from Santa (sold as a bundle for 10% off). This Thinlits die made me go "Oooh..." out loud when I leafed through the catalogue, immediately followed by "I'm so buying this!"
For my first card using it, I drew inspiration from the Merry Monday #201 challenge (purple, silver and white), Paper Craft Crew #206 (Designer Series Paper), Stamp Ink Paper challenge #60 and Stampin' Royalty #341.
The sentiment was embossed with Silver embossing powder on a piece of Wisteria Wonder Designer Series Paper, and I added two stars die-cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper using a Thinlits from the Detailed Santa set. I also used another Thinlits die from the set at the bottom of the Elegant Eggplant cardstock (the two lines with a circle in the center). I lined the two lines with Silver Glimmer Paper and inserted a fancy brad in the circle in the middle. (Those brads were carried by SU! and are now retired, but I'm trying to make a dent in my supplies).
Mini jingle bells were added to the end of Santa's hat, using glue dots, and I stamped the wish list image from the stamp set in Smoky Slate on Whisper White cardstock, handcut it and popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
Oh, and I also wanted to show you the back of my card because it features a new Angel Policy stamp set called I Stamped This. Those who stamp in French might have noticed we were missing a French set to sign creations in the new annual catalogue, which made it hard to comply to the Angel Policy (unless we had retired sets on hand we could use). Stampin' Up! has remedied that by issuing this new set, which is also available in French. I'm including the link to both flyers in case you want to see:
