The Color Throwdown challenge #400 reminded me of the Rockabilly DSP pack I was trying to finish off. As I was sifting through the scraps, I found a piece of scallop edge that I could pair with a piece of cherry-patterned paper, so that was the starting point for this card. When I looked at sketches, I saw the TGIF challenge #63 could work well since I still have some Kiwi Kiss corduroy buttons to match the circles on the sketch. I decided to use the dotty circle image from the Ready to Pop stamp set. Then I was looking for an appropriate sentiment to stamp in the circle and when I spotted "Party Like a Rock Star" in the Marquee Messages stamp set, I knew this would be perfect not only to fit in the circle, but also to go with the skulls pattern in the DSP pack and the Global Design Project #43 (Party Theme). I embossed it on Riding Hood Red cardstock with white powder so that it would stand out.
