There's an image in the Just Let It Happen stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas that show Sprinkles and Poochie at the movies, with their silly 3D glasses, that I was eager to use and pair with the new Ready to Pop stamp set from Stampin' Up! The colour combo was inspired by ColourQ #352 and the layout by Stamp Ink Paper #58. It was perfect that the sketch had a tag on it, since that was the theme of this week's TCP challenge #319.
The sentiment reads, "Explosion of Wishes," and I used the popcorn image from the set to add popcorn around the main image. The tag was die-cut using the Two Tags CutUp dies from TCP, but it felt a little bare on the card, so I looked at my Framelits for something to add underneath. I was first going for a big silver star, but then I spotted the movie film from the On Film Framelits and it worked out perfectly. I kept the idea of the stars, but I added a few smaller punched ones and sequin ones at top instead. And the background cardstock was embossed using the Festive Embossing Folder.
My favorite touch is the Liquid Appliqué on the popcorn. It just gives it the perfect texture! (Inspired by this Monday's Simon Says Stamp challenge.)
