I was totally taken with this week's ColourQ #351 challenge. The rich pigmented colors with a dash of gold shine looked really good, so I decided to pair them with the Birthday Banners stamp set and the Pals Paper Arts sketch #310.
One of the French sentiment from this set reads, "Blow out this little fire and make a wish". I just love it! Made me want the set and use it first on a project. The twisty banner's pretty great, too.
The set includes candles that are actually a short design that you can stamp repeatedly to make the candle the length you need (clever!). Here, I stamped the design twice in Elegant Eggplant, and embossed the flame in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The cute little stars are 2016-2018 In Color Lacquered Shapes.
The background turned out pretty cool - I embossed a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock with the Boho Chic embossing folder, and then I gently tapped my VersaMark ink pad on the raised surface of the embossing and pourred Gold embossing powder on it. It doesn't produce a crisp result, but in this case, it goes with the boho look I wanted. I used the Dimensionals strips to add this piece to the card base, at an angle, for dimension.
Because that made the card a little bulkier, I made a personalized envelope out of 2016-2018 In Color paper envelope using the Envelope Punch Board.
