Let me preface this post by saying the card I'm going to share is not my own design, but a very close integral copy of an awesome card shared by Elizabeth Price on her blog. I first intended on making a close copy using the same SAB set she used, but the French translation is a little different and "bonjour" is wider than "hello" is. And you know what I just noticed? The english version has cute little lines on both sides of the wording - the French doesn't! Not sure why... Forgotten by the graphic designer? Anyway, to keep the fun-loving feel of her card, I found myself reaching for the Party with Cake stamp set, which has a big sentiment with fun fonts ("Let's celebrate with cake").
Another fun element to point out: I didn't buy the It's my Party Designer Series Paper Pack. I initially considered it because the patterns and colours are just lovely - and then I saw that it includes 48 sheets sized 12" x 12". That's a lot of paper. Goes back to my comment made earlier this week about trying to steer clear of big paper stack. So anyway, as I was trying to figure out what to use for the background, it dawned on me that we used to carry colour embossing powder in all three colours featured in the It's my Party pack: Melon Mambo, Pool Party and Crushed Curry! The Party with Cake stamp set also includes two confetti images, so I stamped and embossed one colour at a time and wound up with a really pretty background, if I may say so myself!
