The gorgeous Holidays Catalogue just launched today and based on the reactions so far, I think it's going to be a popular one. See its contents HERE.
I think this might be my favorite card I created during the Dare to Get Dirty challenges and with my new Holidays catalogue supplies. The challenge called for a one-layer card, so I decided to die-cut the sleigh image and use it as a mask to sponge colour on a Very Vanilla card base. To create the sky, I sponged Mint Macaron and Lost Lagoon ink. I then used Versamark to stamp and emboss stars with gold powder. I stamped additional stars in VersaMark again, without embossing, to get a tone-on-tone effect.
TIP: Here's my tip to you - make sure your sponged ink is really dry before trying to emboss, otherwise you'll get big clumps of embossing powder where you don't want it. (Ask me how I know...) Use your embossing tool to dry the ink then let the card cool down before doing your embossing. Use your Embossing Buddy as well for optimum results.
The sentiment comes from the Jingle All the Way stamp set (get the set and Framelits together at 15% off) and was stamped in Real Red. I then punched one corner using the new Triple Corner Punch, and finished the card off with the Snowflake Elements and Home for Christmas Enamel Dots.
The beautiful colour combo was inspired by the Project Life Hello December 2015 cards I shared on my project yesterday. I love the soft and peaceful look it gives.
