After finishing a summer-themed scrapbook layout, I decided to use the material out on my table to make a card before putting it all away. I looked at the weekly sketches for inspiration and when I saw the Sweet Sunday sketch #275, I knew it would be easy to pair it with the three portholes images from the By the Sea stamp set. I colored the images with markers, then used Liquid Pearls to make the screws around the portholes dimensional.
Looking at my sentiment sets, I spotted one in an old hostess set that had the right size and font. I like that this could make a great masculine card, but I still wouldn't exclude sending it to a woman either. I love working with summer-themed products: the bright colours always put me in a good mood, even on a cloudy day like today.
