This card was inspired by the Retro Fresh sketch #170. When I saw the sketch, I knew that it would work well with a large sentiment, so I used the That Thing You Did stamp set. This one became an instant favorite with the Canadian Summit team when we saw it in the catalogue and we kept on adding "but not in a creepy way" to everything we said during the weekend, so when I placed my first catalogue order, I just had to have it, even though it's not available in French (although who knows how that one could have been translated to make sense...).
I don't have a lot of current Designer Series Paper choices right now, so I pulled out the Cherry on Top paper stack and focused on the non-birthday patterns. The card base was stamped with the Writing Notes background stamp. The sentiment was stamped on Shimmery White cardstock for added interest (page 149 of catalogue, it's easy to oversee this cool cardstock). I like how this one adds interest without being too busy. I then used Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and threaded a matching button from the Regals Designer Buttons pack on it.
Simple design, but I think the card really pops.
