Who knows how much use I'll manage to get out of this stamp set (From the Herd), but those wide-eyed animals just crack me up and I couldn't resist getting a set for myself. This is the first card I'm creating with it. The image is quite large so it will fill up most of a standard card front. I finally found the perfect sketch to pair with it (Stampin' Celebrations #99), which I paired with the colour combo from the Paper Players challenge #235.
The image was colored with the Blendabilities markers. I have some unfortunate news to pass along about those: due to quality problems experienced by SU! with their providers, they did not feel they could guarantee their usual level of quality with the Blendabilities and since people were experiencing problems with them drying out prematurely, they finally had to decide to pull out this product entirely. So the Blendabilities are no more - for now, at least. It seems the product was quite popular with demos and customers, so I wouldn't be surprised if SU! looked for a new provider so they can provide us with alcohol-based markers again. Let's hope we see something else emerge in the near future, because Blendabilities were the one item I had been the most excited about in the last few years.
So back to the card, it's quite straightforward: main panel stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Blendabilities markers, burlap ribbon (for a touch of natural texture), thick baker's twine and cotton twine, two scraps of Designer Series Paper in matching colour and a little embellishment at top made with the Banner punch and the Mini Curly Label punch, folded in half and held in place with a Sweet Dot.
The sentiment was stamped on Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock and punched out with the regular-size Curly Label punch to match. Glued to the side of the panel to add a vertical element and break the "horizontalness" of the design.
A matching envelope was made with the Envelope Punch Board.

Those animals are so darn cute, love them with this sketch! Let's the animals stand out and yet adds a great framing of the animals as well. Thanks for including Stampin' Celebration in your design!
