Lots of ideas, so little time to stamp them all... In order to stamp a bit, I dug out some retired Simply Sent cards and they were the starting point of the two cards I'm about to share. Inspiration also came from two challenges: Match the Sketch #055 and Paper Players #228.
The first package of SS cards I got during a past Sale-A-Bration promotion. The lacy border with the red background made me think Valentine's Day, so I paired it with the new beautiful paper from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack. The sentiment comes from the You Plus Me Stamp Set. I used some retired black lace trim, added a piece of paper doily, added a heart punched out of Silver Glimmer Paper, and topped it off with a bow made with the new Bow Punch. (You're going to want one - it's the perfect size for so many projects!)
For the second card, I used a SS card with a lacy heart die-cut window. I wanted to add Silver Glimmer Paper underneath but didn't want it to show inside the card, so I cut the card apart and mounted the die-cut front on a Blushing Bride card base. I added Blushing Bride gathered ribbon (long-retired, I'm afraid...) around the heart shape and then finished it off with embellishments from the Artisan Embellishment Kit. (Check it out - page 27 of Occasions Catalogue) The sentiment reads, "And they lived happily ever after" - it was stamped using the Big News stamp set, and embossed in Pewter Stampin' Emboss powder. The music notes in the background were stamped with a Heid Swapp background stamp. The Blushing Bride envelope came in the Simply Sent card kit. A bit of Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz was also added to the card.
