I knew I wanted to get the Guy Greetings stamp set because it's full of versatile images and sentiments, but I debated a long time between getting in French or in English. English finally won (and one of the upsides was that I was able to get the set in wood-mount, which is not offered as an option in French anymore).
The Create with Connie and Mary challenge (#339) inspired me to break the set out of its box. I wanted to use the new Stacked with Love Designer Washi tape, so I decided to make a neutral card using only shades of black, grey and white. I stamped a piece of Basic Grey cardstock with the Dictionary background stamp, then embossed it with On Pointe embossing folder, then distressed the edges using the Stampin' Distress tool (catalogue, p. 215). I added my strips of washi tape, and a metal button threaded with white Baker's Twine.
The car image was stamped in Basic Grey on Whisper White cardstock and die-cut using the Deco Labels Collection Frameltis dies. The "world's greatest" sentiment was stamped in Basic Black, separately, on a white cardstock scrap and handcut, then added to the image using Stampin' Dimensionals. The word "Dad" was stamped in black at the bottom of the die-cut image, and embellished with two grey Sweet Dots.
