Happy 2015 to all of my readers! Welcome to a new year hopefully filled with kindness and creativity!
I had a little bit of time to stamp over the Holidays - not as much as I had predicted, which often seems to be the case, but I still got a bit accomplished. What I didn't end up having time doing, though, was blogging about it! I drew inspiration from quite a few challenges, but missed the deadline on all of them. In an effort to share at least one project before the challenge closes, let me post this pocket that contains a notecard that was inspired by the ColourQ challenge #274.
I was a nice opportunity to play with some of the great new items that just came out with the launch of the Occasions catalogue. One of the new released item I was all over was the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits dies. How much will I use the bag die? We'll see... Well, maybe more than I think because I can certainly use it on scrapbook pages to add hidden journaling. But aside from the bag die, I was really excited about the other dies included in this set. Have you stopped and looked at it carefully? The little rows of dots, hearts and stars are going to be super practical to make fun borders. My favorite piece, though, is the cute little bow. It's so tiny and delicate! I'm already adding it to everything I'm creating.
My tip to you? Use the adhesive sheets on the back of your cardstock before you cut it out. This is the best and easiest way to glue the bow die-cut on your project afterwards. You could always use the two-way glue pen, but the adhesive sheets will save you a lot of grief.
The narrow velvet ribbon I used at the bottom is from the Artisan Embellishment Kit - check it out on page 27 of the Occasions Catalogue!
