Have you bought the Watercolor WinterSimply Sent kit yet? If you haven't, I strongly recommend you have a second look at it and consider getting one for yourself. It is different than the other SS kits in the sense that the results are definitely more intricate than our usual kits and there is more work involved in getting the cards ready. I think the kit might be too much work for a beginner, but for people who have been stamping and crafting for a while, I think it is the perfect kit because you have everything you need to put together 12 gorgeous cards while keeping you happily stamping for a little while. Gold glimmer pieces, vellum snowflake die-cuts, cute sleigh pieces ready to be watercolored in the color of your choice... What's not to like?
I started by putting together the four cards as instructed in the kit to see what the suggested designs looked like and show customers. Today, I pulled out the pieces of the kit and put together a slightly modified design to show how you can pair the contents of the kit with your own supplies to create personalized cards if you wish, The design was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch #168 and the Just Us Girls Challenge #268.
Most of what I used comes directly from the kit. I added from my stash a couple of rhinestones, Cherry Cobbler Sweet Dots and a piece of All is Calm Specialty Designer Paper. The sleigh die-cut was watercolored using Coastal Cabana ink and then I used Bermuda Bay ink to overstamp the Hardwood background stamp image on it. Very cool effect!
Stampin' Up! Supplies
Stamps: Hardwood, Project Life Holiday Cheer
Simply Sent Kit: Watercolor Winter
Ink: Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Regals Sweets Dots, Stylus, Rhinestone Basic Jewels,
Corner Rounder Punch
Here's an additional idea using the same kit paired with the Fab Friday Sketch challenge #55. Aside from the pieces from the kit, I have added Nordic Noel Designer Buttons, an Essentials clip and Old Olive taffeta ribbon. The sentiment comes from the Belles Fêtes stamp set that was offered as an hostess bonus in September and October for qualifying workshops.

And to finish, those are the regular card designs from the kit if you use it as it was originally designed.
A really lovely take on our Photo Inspiration challenge at Just us Girls. Also some very pretty cards from your SU kit. Love the soft colours. Thanks for sharing and joining our JUGS challenge this week.
