I resisted getting the Holiday catalogue hostess sets until now since I knew they are a limited edition that I couldn't demo after the catalogue is over, but I finally caved and got them the last time I was eligible for hostess benefits. The Christmas set (Warmth & Wonder) is just so cute! It's only available in English, which is why my card was stamped in this language, but I always need a few English cards to send out to my family in BC and English friends anyway.
I like how this one turned out. The colours were inspired by the ColourQ #218 combo, which is beautiful: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Real Red. What I am most excited about on this card is the script background, whic was created with Core'dinations cardstock! The Core'dinations packs had been on my wish list since the catalogue release, but I hadn't splurged on them yet, so I got really excited when I saw they were on sale during the Holiday Sale promotion! I got all four families, so expect to see some textured cardstock on my upcoming projects! Here, I used Island Indigo, which I embossed with the Pretty Print embossing folder and sanded to lighten the colour of the words.
As for the "snowy" brad, it is a Vintage brad that I dipped in VersaMark ink and embossed with white Stampin' Emboss powder. I like how it turned out - perfect for winter-themed projects! The Pool Party background was embossed with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder (I hope this one makes a comeback in the next catalogue because I really like it). A piece of Red glimmer paper, a piece of Pear Pizzazz chevron ribbon and of Silver ribbon (from the Holiday catalogue) finish off the card, and the sentiment was embossed in Silver powder to match the ribbon.

Wonderful use of all those colours and I love that the base is that beautiful blue. Thanks for joining us at Colour Q this week!
