This card was inspired by the Cat's Pajamas sketch #210. The sketch included a flower, which reminded me of the Snowflake CutUp that I hadn't used yet, so I decided to make a winter card (even though it's been 30 Celcius all weekend!).
I looked through my stamps to see what could work with the long narrow panel and snowflake die and I decided to ink the cute sheep again. I paper pieced its scarf and used markers to add shading.
The sentiment banner was die-cut using my new Bitty Banners Framelits (which are coming out in the new catalogue on June 1st). I then looked at my stamp binder and found a sentiment that reads something like "Ready or not, here comes snow!" which just happened to fit the banner perfectly.
For the corner piece, I used a scrap of patterned paper and punched the edge with a snowflake edge punch. I then used the snowflake from the same stamp set, inked it with Champagne Mist glimmer paint and stamped it a few times on the red paper. I added two epoxy brads (from an older minicatalogue) at the bottom.
Before adding the snowflake, I overlapped two ribbons and twisted them around the card, then I found a matching chocolate button and threaded it with the same ribbons and added it to the center of the snowflake.
