This is a second page I prepared to show at my home workshop. I didn't make this page during my presentation, I just pulled the finished project to show the Vintage Attic line of products. I literally put this page together in an hour. Thanks to the matching products, everything came together very quickly. I also used a page published in the March edition of the Scrapbook Trends magazine as inspiration. The picture was taken when my sister went to Europe last year. The picture seemed perfect to go with the shabby chic vintage feel of those papers.
The journaling spot embellishments are my favorite part. They are made of thick cardstock and they are gorgeous.
To create my title, I used the Billboard die. I matted my picture with one of the die-cuts and added the title at the bottom. Another element of the Vintage Attic suite is the matching stamp set, which I used to stamp and emboss the umbrella at the bottom of the page. I then used my paper cutter to create a frame out of patterned paper to put around the umbrella, held in place with staples. On the page, the original scrapbooker had framed two sides of her picture with twine, which I thought looked really cool, but it didn't really work with the placement of my picture, so I decided to recreate the look around the frame at the bottom instead.
I used multiple buttons to decorate the page (remember, you can get some for free during SAB, so you can go crazy and put them everywhere!), including a big button from the retired Spice Cake collection, which fit very nicely on one of the scallop circle die-cuts. I threaded it with matching Pool Party twine before adding it to the page.
All I need to add is the date and place on the banner seen on the die-cut, but I need to ask my sister where exactly the picture was taken first. I think it might be when she visited the Pisa tower, but I want to make sure.
Toodle-do!
