SAB countdown: 2 days left!!!!
I have two boxes to show you today. The first one, we made at my "Marvels of the Big Shot" class. We used both the Pillow Box die and the Finial Press embossing folder on Brushed Silver cardstock. (Those specialty cardstock tend to get forgotten, but they are beautiful!) The tag was stamped with the Sprinkled Expressions set and punched with the Punch tag, then placed around a bow of red satin ribbon. And look closely - see that cute stallop border at the bottom of the box? It is made out of white waffle paper (from the Occasions mini) and die-cut with one of the Edgelits die. My favorite detail! The trick is to place the paper inside the edge of the box before assembling it.
The second box showcases the lovely Everyday Enchantment papers and matching brads that will be leaving with the end of the SAB promotion, but also features a brand new item. No, not the flower. Not the pearls either. No, not a pinking border punch (this part was done with the leftover you get when cutting the rickrack border from the Tasteful Trims die. I can feel Stephanie rolling her eyes at that last remark all the way from St-Augustin... She might have mentioned that I use this die a lot. A LOT a lot. What can I say, it's my favorite die ever.)
Anyway... I'm sure you've all figured out the mini purse box was done with a new die!!! It'll be part of the upcoming catalogue, but the exciting news is that SU! is releasing it early and letting you purchase it during the April Summer Smooch promotion!!!
I took a picture of it in my hand so you can see just how tiny it is. I had been warned about its size and still, there was an initial shock when I first assemble it. Major cuteness, though! Who wouldn't ahh over getting this purse box, really?
Alright, enough talking, more showing...
