SAB countdown: Only 6 days left!!
We made this card, which showcases the Faux Tiles technique, at our March team meeting. Would you like to join us to stamp next time? You could be part of the fun if you sign up to join SU! There is still a week left to benefit from the SAB sign-up special.
I made this card specifically to showcase the Diagonal Plate now sold for the Simply Scored board. When you score your cardstock before stamping on it, the ink is not transfered to the cardstock where your scoring lines appear, which then creates the impression of tiles. I really liked the damask flower from the Fresh Vintage set for this technique, especially stamped in Poppy Parade, because it reminds me of porcelain.
Aren't those colors pretty together? The combo uses two In Colors (Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo) and one from last year's In Colors (Poppy Parade), which will be leaving the catalogue at the end of May. (Don't forget, we are changing the catalogue year and the current catalogue will end in May this year.) This combo would work GREAT on a masculine card as well. FYI for those of you always looking for masculine card ideas...
