It feels like I haven't stamped in ages! Mild exaggeration, but I haven't been in my stamp room in over a week. A few weeks ago, I bought a new bedroom furniture set and it was delivered to my place last week. Which meant I had to empty the whole room and then find a new place for everything. I am really pleased with the result and I owe a big thanks for my parents, who were a huge help in this endeavour. That being said, as much as I love my brand new bedroom, I am looking forward to slipping back into my favorite spot, i.e. behind my stamp desk! I am expecting my Holidays mini preorder tomorrow and I really want to work on the DTGD challenges that are posted on SCS all through the week, but in the meantime, here's a pic of a project I made a couple of weeks ago.
I was in a scrapbooking mood and pulled out some pictures of Keesh and me that were taken last year when she visited and that she had sent me when she came back from her trip. This page came together quite quickly, as the patterned papers I used were already pretty full and I didn't have to add much to complete the page. I liked the top of one of the pages with the plane and I liked the bottom of another one, with the mail, so I used the cutter from the Cutting Kit to cut the first page in a wave pattern and glue it to the second one. Using alphabet stickers, I followed the wavy pattern on the paper to add my title.
To embellish the rest of the page, I used matching rub-ons (including some that I added directly to my picture) and some image that I handcut from the patterned papers. The sun is a die-cut from Fancy Pants Designs that I added to the page before gluing the title letters in place.
I like that we have the plane at the top for Keesh for flew all the way around the globe and the cute little car at the bottom since I drove all the way to Toronto. There was also a camera in the rub-ons, which was perfect to go with the picture.
