I really wanted to work with the Play Date Cafe's colour combo (#90) before the challenge ended because I thought it was gorgeous and so inspiring but my stamping time was limited tonight, so I took Angie's advice to limit myself to one hour even when we're not stamping together and I made it happen. Feels good! Makes me feel efficient!
I paired it with today's Mojo Monday sketch (#200, can you believe it?) and that cute Up, Up & Away set. You'll notice some new supplies on this card, like the Good Grid on the Mustard strip and the Stripes embossing folder in the background as well as one of the Designer Frames embossing folders handcut out of the Vanilla cardstock. The navy border is one of the stitched border from the In Stitches wheel, which you might remember I had unmounted and cut apart when I got it. I am happy to report to those that were hoping to do the same with their wheel that SU! has now added the clear-mount cling foam to the new catalogue, which you might not have noticed (see page 205).
Are you as happy as I am to see the seam binding make a comeback in the catty? It's one of the easiest ribbons to tie so I find myself reaching often for it when I want to make full bows on a card. I couldn't help but add a button to the bow, stacking two buttons from the Regals pack held together with a piece of Early Espresso baker's twine (love that stuff!).
I don't generally stamp in English, but this card will be going to a friend and the "sky's the limit" sentiment was just what I needed for her.
