This is one of the cards I had submitted to Paper Crafts that did not get picked. It was based on a sketch and the little banners reminded me of teeth, hence the idea for the alligator.
I used one of my favorite monochrome combo, Old Olive, Always Artichoke and River Rock. I sponged all of my cardstock pieces so that they'd blend together more seamlessly. I wanted my sentiment to read, "Later, Gator" and didn't have that particular sentiment stamp, so I created it with the Rough Edges alphabet (from an old mini) set and cut the strip ends with some pinking shears.
The texture on the croc was created by inking one side of an embossing folder with craft ink, running it through the Big Shot and then clear-embossing the cardstock. It gives the cardstock a great crocodile skin look.
