I will admit that I sometimes get tired of flower sets, but I couldn't resist getting this one (Array of Sunshine) with my hostess benefits after seeing some pretty fabulous samples done with it. I like how it has a art deco feel to it and is different from any of the (many) other flower stamp sets I have.
This is the second card I did during my stamping session with Angie. We agreed to combine the Clean & Simple sketch #149 with the Color Cue combo #16. As I was looking through my Tempting Turquoise cardstock folder, I found some unused Top Note die-cut from a previous projects, which gave me the idea to use that shape rather than the banner shown originally on the sketch. The combo challenge didn't dictate exact colours, but rather hues and those colours were Angie's suggestion. I like how they turned out, although I will admit those are brighter than what I usually go for myself.
The flowers were stamped various times, handcut and layered, with the use of Dimensionals in the case of the big red flower. I added small flower buttons in matching colours on the smaller flowers. The sentiment comes from the On Your Birthday set and I thought the script font worked great with the deco flowers. The patterned paper is from the Cheerful Treat hostess paper pack. I added some Rich Razzleberry taffeta ribbon and a In Color polka dot brad at the bottom of the Top Note.

I can't believe how well you did with these oh SO challenging colors! You make them look beautiful! I love your layered flowers and the buttons on the smaller ones too. The little polka dot brad on the TOp NOte piece is perfect too! I need to use some of mine, no more hoarding! And I see you got your matching envelope too, I forgot that!
