So I was playing with the new Tasteful Trims die and using it to cute some rickrack out of white fun foam. As I was about to discard the scraps around the piece I had cut, I noticed it looked an awful lot like a set of pointy teeth! If the piece of foam or cardstock you are using is longer than the die, the end will remain attached together, like you see on my card. It immediately clicked that I could make it look like a crocodile's mouth and use the Long Fellows set with it. It took me a long time playing and rearranging the pieces to find a design that I actually liked. I also remembered a technique we had learned at the Quebec City Regionals last Fall taught by Carrie Cudney. She created an animal-skin pattern which was perfect to go with my alligator. Finally, I stamped the sentiment using the Just Perfect Alphabet stamps.
I'm pretty pleased with this one and I hope this will take Brandi over the edge and get her to admit that the new die is da bomb! ;)
