We're back with a sketch challenge this week, but with a twist... Chantelle is our host this month and she is challenging us to add polka dots to our creation this week. Easy-peasy, as I *heart* polka dots!!
For my card, I pulled out a new favorite, Puns from the Past, and I used an idea that had been going around in my head ever since getting this set. You see, this set has all these really cute punny sentiments but it has not been translated to French, so I was thinking of some clever sentiments I could come up with on my own in French and this one-liner from François Pérusse, a comedian, kept popping up into my head to use with the percolator. I am not even going to attempt translating it, because it just doesn't translate all that well to English, but let's just say that my sister, who's as much of a Pérusse fan as I am and who also knows his bits by heart, will surely get a big kick out of this card, which I'll be sending to her for her birthday. (September 11th, nonetheless!)
To add the mug stain at the top of the patterned paper, I pulled out the Sip by Sip set and I wet the paper with my Aquapainter brush after stamping the image in Chocolate Chip to make the paper buckle a little bit.
