Encre, papier, ciseaux: Inkspirations #30

I haven't scrapbooked in a little while and got the urge to do so when I prepared for this week's challenge. I was looking forward to using this yummy color combo and went through my picture stack to see what could match. When I saw the raspberry parfait picture, I thought, "Score!" I then printed the Page Map June sketches (if you're a scrapbooker and you like sketches, you have to check those out - they're great!), picked one that could include three pictures and started working.

To create the big scallops at the top of the page, I punched circles out of Kraft/Crumb Cake cardstock and then thought I could make the scallops more interesting by adding texture to it, so I ran each circle through the Big Shot in a different embossing folder.

The page background was created by using Rich Razzleberry textured cardstock, on which I glued strips of Rich Razzleberry smooth cardstock that were punched with border punches. This is something I had seen in a magazine recently (Creating Keepsakes or Scrapbooks Etc., not sure which) and I thought it looked so cool, I had made a mental note to try it on my next project. The punches strips were vaporised with shimmer mist before I glued them down on the page so they would stand out more and have a nice sparkly sheen.

The title was created with the use of my favorite alphabet, Jumbo Outline (which is retiring - boo hoo!) and since this alphabet doesn't include punctuation, I borrowed the exclamation mark from the also retiring Taffy Alphabet. To finish off the page, I added some cream cord from last year's minicatalogue, a little tag with the date on it and a couple of Canvas Cuts plus a Kraft Corduroy button. And with the use of those two dots, I officially used the rest of my Canvas Cuts pack, so yeah for me for using something from my stash completely!

Journaling reads, "No boxed lunches for the demos who attend Leadership! We are actually treated to yummy dishes served to us at the table."

J'ai décidé que j'étais due pour une page d'album cette semaine et j'ai donc fouillé dans mes photos pour en trouver qui s'agenceraient aux couleurs du défi de cette semaine. Quand j'ai vu la photo du parfait aux framboises, j'ai su que j'étais en "business". Je me suis aussi imprimée les sketchs de juin du site Page Maps (si vous aimez utiliser des sketchs pour créer des pages, je vous conseille fortement ce site - leurs sketchs sont super!) et j'en ai choisi un qui incluait plusieurs photos pour créer ma page.

Pour créer les gros festons au haut de la page, j'ai poinçonné de gros cercles dans du carton Kraft/Brune dune et je me suis dit que la bordure serait encore plus intéressante si j'y ajoutais de la textures, alors j'ai passé les cercles dans la Big Shot en utilisant différents modèles d'embossage pour chaque cercle.

L'arrière de la page a été créé avec un carton texturé Fruits des bois, sur lequel j'ai collé des bandes de carton lisse assorti poinçonnées avec des poinçons de bordure. Cette idée d'une page publiée récemment dans un magazine (Creating Keesakes ou Scrapbooks Etc., je n'arrive plus à me rappeler lequel) et j'ai trouvé l'idée si géniale que je me suis prise une note pour reproduire le look sur ma prochaine page. J'ai aussi vaporisé les bandes de carton avec un vaporisateur chatoyant avant de les coller sur la page pour qu'elles ressortent mieux.

Le titre a été créé avec mon alphabet favori, Jumbo Outline (qui quitte malheureusement le catalogue!) et puisque cet alphabet n'inclut pas de ponctuation, je me suis servie de l'ensemble Taffy Alphabet pour le point d'exclamation. Pour compléter la page, j'ai noué une ficelle qui était vendue dans un minicatalogue l'an dernier, ajouté une étiquette avec la date et ajouté deux cercles de l'ensemble Canvas Cuts et un bouton de velours côtelé Kraft. En utilisant ces deux cercles de canvas, j'ai réussi à achever mon paquet complètement. Wou-hou!!
