Un beau bébé tout neuf / Baby Fresh

This is another commissioned card from a work colleague. She wanted a baby girl card for her neighbour and I immediately thought of the retired Wash Day wheel. I think I had used it once before it got retired and then it got forgotten... I should definitely pull it out more often - isn't that just the sweetest image you've ever seen? I heat-embossed the wheel with gold powder on watercolor paper and then used my a blending pen and an Aquapainter brush to color in the image with inks. I am really, really pleased with the results! The image was just so cute, I didn't feel like I had to add a lot of the card to finish it off. Just the single sentiment stamp Bienvenue bébé and a ribbon woven through the image with the use of the Horizontal Slot punch.

Here's the kicker - the card isn't finished yet because I need to print a text to go inside, but I was telling my coworker about the clothesline image I had picked and she shared that just a week ago, her neighbour has added a clothesline in her backyard and they had discussed how cute it would be to see baby clothes hanging from it... I had absolutely no idea when I picked this image, but could it be any more perfect?

 

 

 

 

Voici une autre carte qui m'a été demandée par une collègue de bureau. C'est pour l'arrivée d'une petite fille et j'ai pensé que je pourrais ressortir la roue Wash Day, que je n'ai utilisé qu'une seule fois avant qu'elle quitte le catalogue... (Oups!) Je devrais certainement la sortir plus souvent - l'image est tellement adorable!! J'ai étampé la roue en Versamark sur du papier aquarelle, l'ai embossée avec de la poudre dorée et j'ai utilisé un crayon-estompe de même qu'un pinceau Aquapainter pour colorer l'image avec mes encres. Je suis très heureuse du résultat! J'aimais beaucoup l'image, alors j'ai opté pour un design très simple sur la carte en ajoutant l'étampe Bienvenue bébé au bas et en insérant un ruban de satin Céleri dans une fente poinçonnée avec le poinçon Fente horizontale.

Le meilleur dans l'histoire, c'est qu'après avoir commencé la carte (qui n'est pas terminé, car je dois maintenant ajouter du texte à l'intérieur), j'ai mentionné à ma collègue que j'avais étampé une jolie petite corde à linge et elle m'a alors confié que sa voisine a récemment installé une corde à linge dans sa cour et qu'ensemble, elles ont parlé à quel point ça serait mignon lorsque des petits vêtements de bébé seraient suspendus sur la corde à linge en question... Le hasard ne pourrait pas mieux avoir fait les choses avec mon choix d'image!!

Qu'elle est belle ta carte!!! J'adore les cartes pour bébé. Vraiment dommage qu'elle n'existe plus cette roue là. J'ai hâte de recevoir ma commande, me suis commandé la nouvelle roue Baby Tees qui est très mignonne aussi! Bravo pour ta carte!
