Featuring Bold Brights: Rainbow Bright

My card today is featuring the Bold Brights, which will be taking a big hit with the upcoming color renovation (10 out of the 12 colours are going bye-bye). I can't say I really mind based on the use I've done of those colors up until now, although I will admit they do look kind of cute and cheery all lined up like that on a white card base. Real Red will be staying but the other five colours are all going (Only Orange, Yo Yo Yellow, Green Galore, Glorious Green and Brilliant Blue).

The design is not my original idea, but rather something I've seen pop up a few times in online galleries. I'm not able to pinpoint whose original idea this is as I worked from memory, but whoever first shared this design, thank you - it's adorable! I used the owl from the Love Bandit stamp set and paired it with another sentiment (that losely translate to "You are great") from the Picture This set, both from the Occasions minicatalogue. Then I finished the card with a Brilliant Blue brad (try saying that three times fast!) and a white satin ribbon know and just like that, I was done!

(On a non-stamping related note, do you remember the Rainbow Brite character? It was my favorite doll when I was a child and this card reminds me of her!)

Ma carte d'aujourd'hui met en vedette la famille des Audacieux et brillants, qui sera, disons-le, décimée avec le changement des couleurs prévu par SU! (10 des 12 couleurs de la famille nous quitteront à ce moment). Je ne peux pas personnellement m'en plaindre si j'en juge par l'usage que j'ai fait de cette famille de couleurs à venir jusqu'à maintenant, même si je dois avouer qu'alignées côte à côte sur fond blanc, elles sont plutôt vives et joyeuses! Vraiment rouge restera, mais les cinq autres couleurs utilisées s'en iront (Oh! orange, Joli jaune, Vert abondant, Vert glorieux et Bleu brillant).

Le design n'est pas de mon cru, mais plutôt quelque chose que j'ai vu à quelques reprises dans les galeries en ligne. J'ignore à qui revient le mérite de l'idée originale, mais qui qu'elle soit, je remercie la personne qui a partagé son mignon design! J'ai utilisé l'étampe du hibou du jeu Love Bandit et l'ai combiné au souhait "Tu es vraiment chouette" du jeu Messages illustrés (jeu d'hôtesse de palier 1), tous deux du minicatalogue Occasions qui se termine demain.

Une attache parisienne Bleu brillant et une boucle de ruban de satin blanc finit cette petite carte facile, mignonne et parfaite pour utiliser vos retailles de carton!

(Dans un tout autre ordre d'idées, vous rappelez-vous de la poupée Azurine? C'était ma poupée préférée quand j'étais enfant et cette carte me rappelle son costume!)
