I'm big on green, so using this picture as inspiration this week was no problem at all! I had a look at my unscrapped pictures and stumbled unto this Kermit the Frog statue pic taken at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which was just perfect for the green theme. The title reads, "It's Not Easy Being Green" and the first part was printed with my computer and the last word was created with the Simple Letters alphabet dies. After trying those dies on chipboard last week, I decided to try them on fabric this time. I found a scrap of shimmery green fabric leftover from the costume I sew for my office Christmas party two years ago (don't ask...) and glued it on a scrap of cardstock before running it through the Big Shot, to make it sturdier and easier to glue on the page.
I also rummaged through my ribbon scraps to make a fun border to my photo mat. The scallop edge around the Celery cardstock was created with the punch, and I added some stamped detailing with the All Scallops stamp set. At the bottom of the page, I used a cloud template to create a "bouncing" pattern for my frog (from the So Punny stamp set, from SAB a few years ago), pierced some holes along those lines and stitched the design with some white embroidery floss. The little frog was stamped on watercolor paper, colored with inks and a blending pen, cut out and popped up on a Dimensional.
Color Combo: Soft Suede + Certainly Celery + Bermuda Bay +
Sage Shadow + Whisper White
