Color Combo #12 - Mailbox Sunset

Alright! We are back with challenges again this week, and we're up to a new Color Combo! The colors today: Real Red + So Saffron + Regal Rose + Whisper White.

 

Nous voilà de retour pour les défis hebdomadaires avec cette semaine une combinaison de couleurs qui va comme suit : Vraiment rouge + Tellement safran + Rose royale + Murmure blanc.

 

 

When I looked at the colours together, I could envision a pretty sunset, which made me think of my new Wandering Words set, which is featured in the new minicatalogue that debuted on Tuesday. There is a pretty mailbox shadow image that was just perfect with the pink and red combo.

I am still not sure how I feel about the end result, though. I like it, but I don't love it. I let the card rest for a day in the hope I could find what I did not like exactly and fix it, but even after adding the yellow rhinestone (rhinestone brad that I took apart) and the checkered ribbon on the mini library clip, I am still unsure. Oh, well! One thing I have learned is that just because I am not totally excited about a card does not mean that somebody else won't be, so I am still sharing the result with you guys!

You might notice that the image is slightly different from the one in the mini. That is because I have taken the English words out with my rubber scissors since I knew I only wanted to keep the images. I really like how the Vogue Verse sentiment I used nestles perfectly around the floating hearts! I think this sentiment set is going to be a great match to the Wandering Words set!

Lorsque j'ai regardé les couleurs ensembles, j'ai visionné un beau coucher de soleil, ce qui m'a rappelé que le nouveau jeu Wandering Words contient une image de silhouette de boîte aux lettres qui se voulait parfaite pour accompagner ma combinaison de rose et de rouge.

Je ne suis pas certaine ce que je pense de ma carte. Je la trouve jolie, mais ce n'est pas l'amour fou. Je l'ai laissé de côté une journée, question d'y revenir avec un regard neuf, mais même après avoir ajouté la pierre jaune (que j'ai retirée d'une attache parisienne de fantaisie) et le ruban Vichy noir sur la mini pince bibli, je ne suis pas encore entièrement satisfaite. Une chose que le passé m'a appris, c'est qu'on ne peut jamais deviner ce qui va plaire aux gens, alors je vous partage cette carte et je vous laisse en juger!

Vous remarquerez peut-être que l'image est légèrement différente de celle présentée dans le minicatalogue. C'est parce que j'ai éliminé les mots anglais du caoutchouc en utilisant mes ciseaux afin de pouvoir utiliser uniquement les images. De même, j'ai découvert que les souhaits du jeu Vagues d'émotion suivent parfaitement la forme des petits coeurs, alors c'est un excellent souhait à combiner à vos images pour créer de jolies cartes en français!
