This week, I put to paper an idea that has been at the back of my mind for a while. I thought the retired Jershey Shore papers had a technology look to them, so they seemed like a good match for the Lots of 'Bots set. See - sometimes it pays to be a hoarder! *wink*
The little birthday 'bot was stamped in StazOnBlack ink and colored with ink and a blender pen on watercolor paper. I punched the image out with the 1-3/8 in. Circle punch and then I stamped, colored and cut a separate balloon to cut outside of the circle. I covered the balloon image with Crystal Effects for a glossy, rubber-y look.
The only Wasabi ribbon I had left for a very short scrap, so I made the most of it and used it as a tab on the card, held in place with two Brilliant Blue brads (a color which I hardly ever use). On the dotted line patterned paper, I stamped the binary code in Wild Wasabi to match the theme and fill out the paper a little bit more.
I used my square punches to add a row of squares at the right, and added a bit of doodling on them with a Brilliant Blue marker and the white gel pen. I remembered my physics class and the symbols we used for circuits, so I made my doodling accordingly! Who knew this physics stuff would ever come in handy in my art... haha! Then, I finished the border off with some jumbo eyelets.
So, on this note, 100010101110*!
* Enjoy!

So cute!! I love the doodles circuit symbols on the squares as well as the little bot. Too bad we can't get him in Aus. And from a fellow hoarder, it definitely does pay to hoard sometimes. :)
