"I won't be swapping at Convention this year." Famous last words.
It all started quite innocently. The swapping group I belong to (the Control Freaks) decided to get together for lunch on Saturday at Convention so we could all meet each other and swap cards while we were there. We figured there would be 13 of us (hmm, should I be worried that we'll be 13 at the table?!) so I thought, a dozen cards - totally do-able.
But then I thought it would be rude to have cards for the swapping group but not for my sidelines and roommates, so I picked a card I had shared during the last Blog Hop and made a dozen of that design. It took me less than two evenings, so it was pretty good. But then I started thinking that I am not exactly sure of the final count of people from my team who are indeed going and thought it would be rude to not have enough for everyone.
And even worse: what if I met one of the stampers whose work I really admire and they offer to trade one of their fabbo card and I don't have any on me?
That's how the third dozen came about.
I'll let you know how the swapping went this year...
Cindy,
Bonjour! Thank you so much for taking the time to meet and swap at SU convention. I think your cards were the best swap cards I received. You are so sweet and cute as a button...hope you had a better trip home. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
