Today is my last day of vacation and I've been scrambling to take care of everything on my list I needed/wanted to finish before going back to work. I finished my 30 cardfronts for the the Control Freaks minicatalogue swap this morning and mailed those out this afternoon. Speaking about which, I would like to remind you that our next Control Freaks Blog Hop is coming up this week! Be sure to check my blog on Thursday the 20th to see what the gals and I have put together for you this month...
Anywho, as a reward for getting my swaps ready ahead of time, I treated myself to a little Mojo Monday stamping with my new minicatalogue stamps. I used one of the single stamp image that will be available in the upcoming minicatalogue on watercolor paper and used ink and a blending pen to add some colour to it.
To create a fancy frame around the image, I glued four Curly Labels around the image and added four little punched stars on each side. I like the fancy frame it creates! I repeated the star at the bottom. To make the star sparkly, I brushed our new shimmer paint (Champagne Mist) on the cardstock before punching it out, and I used a small paintbrush to add some shimmer paint to the teddy's buttons and the stars as well for added shimmer. If you love sparkly stuff, you are going to LOVE that paint! I've used it on every single project I've made since I've received my preorder box (including on what I'll be sharing for the Blog Hop on Thursday).
The star is hung with two mini library clips from some fibers that come from the bags that were sold at Memento Mall. The price tags were hung with this nice wollen thread that I thought woud look nice with the teddy.
The papers I used are from the Christmas Cocoa DSP pack, which will also be sold in the mincatalogue. I would like to point out the fact that the damask motifs on the red paper are made of white velvet! The striped paper also has a sheen to it, so I am telling you - you are going to LOVE those gorgeous papers and want some for yourself!
