Welcome to our July Tour de Freaks! This tour is brought to you by the Control Freaks Stampers members and if you have been following the tour, you should have gotten to my blog by clicking on the link provided by Gretchen Barron on her blog. If you are just starting out, make sure to visit all twelve blogs that are part of the tour today by following the links provided at the bottom of each post. Our theme this month is new supplies from the latest SU! catalogue, so without further ado, here are the fun projects I would like to share with you this month!
My first project: With a Cherry on Top
This project features the new stamp set On a Pedestal, which will surely please all of the cupcakes fanatic of this world! It is a nice, versatile birthday set that allows you to create projects quickly thanks for the full images it includes.
You will also notice that my card includes two new In Colours - Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay - which have been paired with Not Quite Navy and Night of Navy. The matching polka dot grosgrain ribbon is also a new addition to our product line, and comes in the six In Colours.
My second project: To Myself From Myself with a Lot of Love
8½ x 8½ page featuring the new Level II hostess set Christmas Punch, a gorgeous Christmas-themed set that matches our punches, and our new In Colour Bermuda Bay, with matching ribbon.
TIP: Did you know that you could punch out the snowflakes from this set with the Boho Blossoms punch? They fit it perfectly! (See picture HERE)
Project info: To create my background paper, I stamped the snowflakes with Bermuda Bay ink, then added some additional flakes in Versamark and embossed them with Iridescent Ice powder.
Since the Bigz dies will cut through thicker fabrics, I used the Snowflake die to cut through white felt and tucked the snowflake under my picture in the corner of the page.
To make the title, I combined the "To: From:" stamp from the stamp set with some letters cut with the Big Shot (Go Go Boots Alphabet). To make faux-metal letters, I took a scrap of cardstock, applied Snail all over it and glue a piece of aluminum foil on it, then ran it in the Big Shot, face down on the die. The cardstock will make your letters sturdier, and it is important to apply glue everywhere so that the foil doesn't come off once the letters have been cut.
This purse is a little gift I got myself last year, hence the title of the page...
My third project: Just a Love Machine Featuring the Lots of 'bots stamp set and the new Modern Label punch. Project info: See that metallic panel on my card? This is a leftover piece of foil glued on cardstock from my previous project. Perfect for the 'bot! I used my crimper to create a border on my card base (stamped with the Sanded background), which I inked to make the ridges stand out more, and I repeated the crimping on the bottom of the matching envelope as well. The Hodgepodge Hardware metal frame has been layered over the Modern Label and added a little heart made with the Heart to Heart punch. Your next stop on the tour: Janine Tinklenberg's (JanTink) blog!!! Enjoy!

Oh my goodness. You overachiever you! Three projects in one post? And one more gorgeous then the next. I guess I should go to my stamping table instead of sitting behind the computer.
Big cyber hugs
