Golf '06

Cette semaine, le défi de Laura Fredrickson (blogue Scrap nextras) était d'utiliser du carton gris, plus précisément des lettres de carton gris. J'ai donc sorti mes alphabets de chipboard de Stampin' Up! et j'ai décidé de les utiliser pour faire mon titre de page. J'avais déjà sorti ces photos et les avait combiné à la série de papiers Want S'Mores? de Cosmo Cricket, et je me suis rendue compte que mes morceaux de carton gris seraient parfaits pour compléter le tout. Le gros "G" vient de l'ensemble Simon, de même que le gros six. Le zéro vient de l'ensemble Multiplicité de lettres et les petites lettres, de l'ensemble Des lettres et des lettres. J'ai aussi utilisé les parenthèses de l'ensemble Simon pour décorer les côtés de chaque page.

 

This week, Laura Fredrickson's challenge on her blog was to use chipboard letters. I had already pulled out some golf pictures and paired them up with Cosmo Cricket's Want S'Mores? papers, so I decided to keep going with this project. (It took me a little while to get those pages finished because my box of new SU! supplies reached its destination and I got sidetracked.) Anyway, the big G comes from the Simon alphabet, as well as the big 6. The zero comes from the Multiplicity of Letters set, and the small letters come from the Loads of Letters set. I also used the brackets from the Simon set to decorate both sides of the layout.

Pour décorer le grosse lettre et les chiffres, j'ai tracé mes formes sur du papier à motifs, les ai collé en place et ai utilisé les blocs à poncer pour sabler les côtés du papier. J'ai ensuite encré les côtés à l'éponge camoufleur pour reproduire le look original des papiers.

Les petites lettres ont été recouvertes d'encre Craft Presque cacao et j'ai ensuite étampé l'arrière-fond Weathered en Pépite de chocolat pour donner un look d'écorce qui fait, je trouve, très joli.

 

To decorate the big letter and the numbers, I traced their shapes on paper, cut it out, glued it on the chipboard and used sanding blocks to sand the edges. I finished it off by inking the sides so that it would match the original look of the papers.

The small letters were covered with Craft Close to Cocoa ink and I overstamped the Weathered background in Chocolate Chip ink on top to mimick a bark look. I think it works pretty well with the rest of the layout.

 

 

Les photos ont été prises au tournoi de golf annuel tenu chaque année par nos bureaux. Nous jouons un quadruple écoissais et ce sont les photos de nos équipes en 2006. Ça fait maintenant trois ans que je participe et je dois dire que c'est toujours une journée très agréable - en dépit de mon flagrant manque de talent comme golfeuse!

 

The pictures were taken at the office's annual golf tournament. Each year, we play in teams of four and those were our team in 2006. I have been playing with the office for the past three years and I am always looking forward to this day - even though I might be one of the worst golf players on the greens!

What a totally ROCKIN' layout! WOW! Love your use of the chipboard letters! You have put everything together so perfectly with the colours and pictures, all the hardware and buttons. You are an awesome scrapper girl! Thanks so much for playing along!

BTW..I always get confused at which means "post"...envoyer or apercu? I'm sure half the time I press the wrong one and that's why my comments don't show up LOL!
