I really liked the Hello Life Project Kit sold in the Occasions Catalogue and knew I wanted to use it pretty much as is, except change the English sentiments for French ones. Since the stamp set that goes with the kit had not been translated, I simply looked at my collection to find things that would fit the frame and space available well. As I was pulling out the pieces, I also decided I wanted the whole project to be black and white only (if you look at the original project, it has touches of Crushed Curry in there).
To do so, I either used the back of the elements (since it's just printed paper and not our regular cardstock, so the back is white), and I also used Black baker's twine from my own stash to replace the Crushed Curry thick baker's twine included to make the pompons. The silver glimmer paper tag was a last-minute addition - I had it lying on my desk from another project so I just decorated it with a piece of Black chevron ribbon and added a remaining heart from the kit and a button.
Now, I just need to have family picture printed in black and white to add in the frame and it'll be ready to put up in my stamp room, to match the black and white decor pieces.
