Convention Display Sample #23 - Trick or Treat Box

This is my favorite 3D project of the samples I've submitted for convention. I like the colors and I like how it sparkles! The idea for the black glittered cardstock came from the little black glittered star I had done on the Ho Ho Ho card. I really like how it had turned out and I wanted to reproduce the look on something bigger, so I used Versamark and Heat 'n Stick to cover the whole background piece on this box.

Note: It is extremely hard to get anything to stick on the glitter and I had to try quite a few adhesives before finding one that worked. The sticky strip wouldn't stay put (I know - this stuff usually won't come off without ripping everything apart with it, but in this case, it just kept sliding off the glitter.) If I remember correctly, it was the Mono Multi liquid glue that finally did the trick.

Convention Display Sample #22 - P is for Pumpkin

Here I come again with the glitter... On this one, I wanted a "P is for Pumpkin" look, so I cut a letter out of a sticky sheet using my Big Shot and the Simple Letters die and then layered it over a Not Quite Navy circle that had been stamped with the A to Z stamp. The Soft Suede cardstock was stamped with the Dot Dot Dot stamp and the card base was spritzed with a marker and the air tool. The pumpkin comes from the Paisley Prints stamp set, which will come out on September 1st, when the fa-bu-lous new Holidays mini is launched. Finally, I used a pumpkin striped ribbon on my card, but it was too wide for my design, so I folded it in half, rolled it around the cardstock and held it in place with two vintage brads. Matching buttons were threaded with fine strips of cardstock and added to the card as well.

Convention Display Sample #21 - Golden Leaves

Aren't those leaves just scrumptious when they are gold-embossed on dark cardstock? This is the very first card I put together after receiving the convention sets and I felt I was off to a good start.

I rolled the Paisley Party wheel (coming in the Holidays mini) in Early Espresso ink and then rolled it on the now retired large twill ribbon, then added a few gold brads here and there. The Early Espresso background was embossed with the embossing folder from the Summer mini and I used a combination of punches (Scallop Oval, Large Oval, Two-step bird for the branches) and a Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware frame along with a word from the Fabulous Phrases set to create the sentiment block at the bottom.

Convention Display Sample #20 - Oh, baby!

I thought I would try to make a baby card with Paisley Prints, so I selected the two hearts from the set and stamped them in soft colours to create a background. Some of the hearts were stamped in Versamark and embossed with Iridescent Ice powder. Then, I stamped the big heart in Celery on matching cardstock, punched it out with the Full Heart punch and added a ribbon bow made with the new Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon. I matted the heart with a circle punched out of Marina Mist cardstock and stamped with the A to Z stamp (still one of my favorite). The sentiment is Bienvenue bébé, one of the single stamps you can get in the catalogue. This is another one that I've gotten a lot of use out of because I like the size and font of it. The card base was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot folder and I inked the edges of all of my cardstock to soften the look.

You could definitely just change the color scheme and get an instant Valentine's or Love card.

Convention Display Sample #19 - Bag o' Prints

Oh, how I am sad that the Scallop Bag left the catalogue! It was one of my favorite die to use when making treat boxes. Oh, well... Here's a last homage to it with the Paisley Prints set (which will be featured in the upcoming Holidays mini). It also uses the Heart-shaped Treat cups, which are still available in the catalogue. By adding the treat cup to the front of the bag, it creates a window to the content of the bag. It is also a nice way to get more in the container since the treat cup is pretty small itself.

I tried to include the new colors and In Colors as much as possible in my convention sample designs, and this is one of the combo that came about when I was shuffling my scraps around trying to find combos that included Concord Crush in them.

Convention Display Sample #18 - Shamrock

What is up with me adding glitter to everything?! This is a very simple design, but the glitter really glams it up a notch, and it showcases the use of the matching wheel, Paisley Party. The sentiment comes from an oldie but goodie, Sinceres Salutations. The hearts from the Paisley Prints set were stamped in Certainly Celery cardstock, then punched out with the Full Heart punch and the glitter was added all around the hearts with Crystal Effects.

Convention Display Sample #17 - Queens of Art

So I was looking at my pictures trying to find something fitting for the Paisley Prints set (from the upcoming Holidays mini) and then I saw this picture of me with the Queen of Heart taken at Disney. It had been taken purposely since my team's name is Dames en art (or Queens of Art). Perfect! I matched the colors in the picture and so I picked Real Red, Concord Crush, Basic Black and Whisper White as my color combo.

The big heart from the Paisley Prints set was stamped in Versamark, covered it in Heat & Stick and then in red glitter. I used the small heart with Real Red ink and then punched the big heart with the Full Heart punch and the small hearts with the Heart to Heart punch.

I used some sticky strip to create a ruffled ribbon border and added some black brads on it. The main title was created with the Wild Wild West Alphabet (oh, how sad I am that this one retired...) embossed in white powder on Basic Black cardstock and punched out with the Large Oval punch, and then topped with the crown from the Extreme Elements set.

I matted my picture with black and white cardstock to look like a playing card. I also used the Q from the Taffy Alphabet set and the small heart from Paisley Prints to complete the card look. Then I handwrote my journaling with a black marker around the picture.

The Concord Crush cardstock in the background was punched with the Pinking Heart border and corner punches, and I added two heart-shaped Bitty buttons with punched cardstock underneath in the left-side corner.

Convention Display Sample #16 - Christmas Trees

Sneak peek alert! I am now moving on to a brand-new set which will be part of the upcoming Holidays mini called Paisley Prints. Here, I used the paisley tree to create a winter scene. All three trees were created differently: one was stamped in Celery ink, the second was clear-emboss and on the third, I did some emboss-resist using shimmer paint. I topped the trees with some Bitty buttons under which I placed pieces of Blushing Bride cardstock punched with the Bitty punches.

The card base was cut using the Scallop Square die and I used my handheld punches to add holes all around to create a lacy look. I then layered two cardstock squares and held them in place with a rhinestone brad, which also serves as an hinge so that you can flip the card open.

The blue sky was sprayed with Silver Foil Smooch Spray, which created a very neat snow-falling shimmery look. I used the cutting wheel from the Cutting Kit to cut two snow hills out of Shimmery White cardstock and vellum cardstock, and I used Crystal Effects to add clear chunky glitter on the border.

The sentiment comes from the Fabulous Phrases kit and was punched out using the Large Oval punch.

Convention Display Sample #15 - Gift Bag

This is the last of the Just Believe samples and my second 3D project. I had those white gift bags at home that I had bought quite a while ago and I thought I could use the Scallop Circle die to make a topper for it. Could the size be any more perfect?! (Said in my best Chandler voice)

To create the topper, all you have to do is die-cut a circle with the Scallop Circle die and then do a score mark with your bone folder in the middle of the circle, fold it in half and use your Word Window punch to punch out an opening on the fold. My warning to you: If you plan on adding layers to decorate your scallop circle, punch the opening before adding the layers, otherwise the whole topped will become too thick to use the punch on (especially since you're doubling the layers when you fold the circle in half). To decorate the scallop circle, I pulled out a sheet from the Presto Patterns paper pack and sponged some Baja Breeze ink on it before adding some Vanilla Smooch Spritz for an extra sparkly look.

At the bottom of the bag, I created a decorative strip on which I clear-embossed the stems from the set and then I sponged some White Frost shimmer paint to reveal the pattern (the resist-emboss technique works with the shimmer paint as well). Then, the whole bag was accesorized with the Pretties kit and voilà! A fabulous gift bag with which you will impress.

Convention Display Sample #14 - Metal Tin Frame

This is one of the 3D projects I created with the Just Believe set. On the display boards, the metal tin was closed so you could only see the front, but now I am going to share what was hidden inside...

There were quite a few steps involved in getting this frame done. First of all, I stamped the circle from Just Believe in Versamark on the cover of the metal tin and then clear-embossed the image. Two tips to remember: wash the tin with some rubbing alcohol before doing embossing (to prevent the embossing powder clinging everywhere it should not) and be careful not to hold the metal tin with your hands while embossing because the metal will become very hot!

To create the sparkly XOXO inside the frame, I used the Big Shot, the Simple Letters dies and a Sticky Sheet. My tip to you is to rub your Embossing Buddy all over the cardstock before peeling off the protective backing and pourring the glitter on your sticky letters. This will make the process of getting the stray glitter back in the container so much easier. At the left of the letters, I stamped in Versamark and clear-embossed the silhouette flowers from the Just Believe set. I also clear-embossed the little stem and cut it out with scissors, then popped it up on Dimensionals over the flowers. I then added a punched border underneath my letters, which continues on the other side of the frame, which creates a visual link between the two sides.

Convention Display Sample #13 - Ho Ho Ho...

So when I saw the sentiment "Some things have to be believed to be seen," it rhymed with Santa Claus for me. I unfortunately didn't have any Santa stamp so I was trying to figure out a way to refer to him without having an actual image. I figured I could use the red striped grosgrain ribbon and add a series of Ho Ho Ho somewhere... This is how I came with the idea of creating my own patterned paper with alphabet stamps. Some letters were stamped with Old Olive ink and the smaller ones were stamped in Versamark and embossed with Iridescent Ice powder.

The Kraft/Crumb Cake card base was sprayed with shimmer mist and the small punched star was completely covered with black glitter and accented with a rhinestone brad, so this card really glitters! To get the frame without the flowers silhouette, I used a Real Red marker to ink only the edges and since I wanted frame to be clear-embossed, I used a clever trick I have learned from Brandi Wiggins (a.k.a. The Master) herself: while your stamp is still down on your page when you stamp the first time, place your Stamp-a-Ma-Jig positioner on the corner of your stamp and take the stamp away. While making sure your SAMJ doesn't move, clean your stamp, ink it with second ink (in my case, with the Versamarker) and stamp again using the SAMJ as reference. This is how I managed to get a clear-embossed frame while using markers to ink my stamp.

Convention Display Sample #12 - Flower

So, what can I say about today's project? It's cute, it's simple, it features the Just Believe set and it makes me smile! I really like the mix of the blue, yellow and orange together. Very summery! And the project actually has a touch of shimmer which isn't picked up by the camera, as I've sprayed the main circle and flower with shimmer mist. Gosh, I love that stuff! I just want to spray everything sparkly now!

I've used the Bashful Blue satin ribbon on this project and here's a heads-up to you: although the satin ribbon has been added to the main catalogue and will be staying after the mini ends (yeah!!), some of the colours like Bashful Blue and Basic Grey are not coming back, so if you want to add those to your collection, be sure to order them before the Summer mini ends on August 31st!

Convention Display Sample #11 - For You

This simple card is, oddly enough, the one sample that gave me the most grief. My first idea was to stamp the stems on the blue cardstock and then add the three circles from the set stamped in Daffodil Delight, punched and popped up on Dimensionals. Looked pretty enough in my head - not so much on the actual sample. It looked too "bulky," if that makes any sense, so I finally dropped the circles and used the new Daffodil taffeta ribbon instead.

The yellow background was dry-embossed and so I made sure to stamp the frame and sentiment on it before running it into the Big Shot. To get the two-tone foliage, I stamped the image twice on the cardstock before inking it again so that some of the branches were darker than others. I used the distressing tool from the Cutter Kit on the edges of the blue cardstock and matted with a brown cardstock punched with the Scallop Trim punch and then I was done!

The card showcases three of our new colours: Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist and Early Espresso.

Convention Display Samples #10 - Jud & Seb

I had to use pictures of immediate family for my scrapbook pages, so I had warned my sister her face would probably be prominently be displayed at convention this year! What can I say - she's just so darn photogenic!

I used the circle from the Just Believe set to make a border by stamping it alternately in Certainly Celery and Old Olive, and I added pearls at the jonction of each circle. I layered the border on Olive striped grosgrain ribbon. The picture was matted with patterned paper from the Island Oasis DSP pack.

On the bottom, I used some Basic Black cardstock that I sprayed with some shimmer mist. It's too bad that the camera doesn't pick up the shimmer - it's quite lovely IRL. Then, I stamped the frame from the set in Versamark and embossed it with black powder and added a bit of journaling with my white gel pen.

The title was created using the second frame from the stamp set, and I stamped the names with the Just Perfect Alphabet and added the ampersand from the Go Go Alphabet die set. What I did is that I die-cut the ampersand and used it as a mask. Then I sponged some White Frosty shimmer paint all over my cardstock, then took off the mask and used a marker to trace the outline of the ampersand so that it would show up better.

Convention Display Samples #9 - Wasabi Sky

You can never go wrong with a little bit of sponging, so for my next card, I used a Very Vanilla cardstock and created a mask with the Curly Label punch and then sponged green ink all around it. I stamped the stems from the Just Believe set in River Rock and then I stamped the sentiment in the masked section in River Rock as well. On closer inspection, I thought the text was a little too light, so I went back to stamp the sentiment again in Wild Wasabi instead. I used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to line it up and purposely stamped it a little bit to the side of the first one I had stamped, to create a shadow effect to my text.

I embellished my card using some Kraft taffeta ribbon, a Vanilla jumbo grommet and a Vanilla button, which I threaded a thin strip of Wasabi cardstock.

I think this card can be easily reproduced and changed to accomodate any occasion depending on the colours and the sentiment you use.

Convention Display Sample #8 - Sunset

When I saw this new stamp set, I immediately thought I had to do a sunset with shades of yellows and oranges. It turned out exactly like what I wanted. I particularly like the orange sentiment against the yellow sky. It sort of blends with the colors of the sky but can still be easily read.

The foliage was stamped in Basic Black Craft ink and embossed with black powder. Then, I used the circle from the stamp set to create a row of scallops underneath my black satin ribbon. The buttons were threaded with thin paper strips (a great tip if you don't have matching floss on hand).

Convention Display Sample #7 - Thanks Tags

When I got started on the convention samples, I tried to find new color combos that would showcase the new colors and In Colors as much as possible. Here, I combined Pear Pizzazz with Soft Suede and Tempting Turquoise for a soft, soothing look.

I had this idea that I could stamp the word thanks from the Fabulous Phrases set on little scraps of cardstock and create a frame around my So Many Thanks sentiment block. When I tried to put the card together, though, the whole thing felt too crowded and it didn't work quite as nicely as I had envisioned, so I decided to push the words back a little bit and create a more uniform border.

I struggled a bit at first with having all of my tags even. Then, I realized I could make my life simpler by first punching the words out with the Word Window punch and then snipping both ends at a right angle to make a rectangle. To add interest to the border, I punched one of the thanks with my beloved Jewelry Tag punch.

I also used the Pinking Heart border and corner punches on the Tempting Turquoise mat.

Convention Display Sample #6 - Glittery Merci

It's funny how I usually don't like to use glitter knowing that I'll be sporting some on my face for the rest of the week afterwards. And yet, I used glitter on a lot of my convention display projects. Maybe because they were out on my work table and I kept thinking of new ideas to use them? Or I figured my work table was already a mess so I might as well go for it? Who knows, but here is another blingarific creation I've put together for convention.

It showcases three of the new In Colors: Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz. Paired together, those colours remind me of summer and a fruit salad or something equally fresh. The grosgrain ribbon used on the card is Certainly Celery so you can see that Pear is a little darker than Celery. They do make a nice dynamic duo, though, and all of those Celery accents you might have in your stash will work quite nicely with the pear cardstock. As illustrated with this card, since the glitter used is also s'pposed to be Celery. The letters were cut out of sticky sheet with the Simple Letters dies and the Big Shot, which made the whole glittering process easy-peasy.

The Poppy Parade cardstock was stamped repeatedly with the So Many Thanks stamp, the Peach Parfait cardstock was punched with the Scallop Trim punch and a filligree brad was added to the ribbon. This is a nice, dazzling card that you could put together very quickly and that could be added to any event just by changing the glittered word. (Ooh, can you picture the "Noël" version? That would be pretty...)

Convention Display Sample #5 - Basket

You know that embossing folder we have in the Summer minicatalogue (Square Lattice)? It looks pretty awesome paired with our Basket & Blooms die! It looks *just* like a basket weave.

I love this basket die. I don't know why I resisted buying it for so long! The yellow scallop border I added inside was actually created with the inside parts of the flower that you see on the tag. I had those scattered on the table and I was wondering what I could use them with... Pretty cool way to recycle, wouldn't you agree? Then, to hide the bottom of those "petals" inside, I used the border we can cut with the die and glued it all around the hedge inside of the basket.

The tag was also cut with the die twice (in Wasabi and in our new Early Espresso brown), stamped the So Many Thanks in Wild Wasabi on the matching tag and then I used a Wasabi marker to ink only the "Domo Arigato" sentiment and stamp it on a scrap of white paper, and then punch it out with the Jewelry tag punch. I layered the yellow (our new Daffodil Delight) die-cut flower with a smaller one punched out of Celery cardstock with the Trio of Flowers punch and added a yellow rhinestone brad in the middle. The new taffeta ribbon was used to cover the seam on the tag and to attach it to the basket. On the back, I layered two die-cut flowers, added a silver flower brad in the middle and a celery brad to the middle of the metal flower.

TIP: To add the brad to the metal flower, I cut the prongs off of the brad with an old pair of rubber scissors and then used a mini glue dot to add the brad head to the center of the flower. Just a little tip to keep in mind when you want to add brads to a project but can't get the prongs through or you don't want them to show on the back. If the mini glue dot is larger than the brad, you can roll the edges in a little bit so that the adhesive doesn't show. You can also use the tip of your paper piercer or your scissors to carry and move the mini glue dot around so that it doesn't stick on your fingers.

Convention Display Sample #4 - Thanks 4 Being U

The scrapbook page was the trickiest to do with the So Many Thanks stamp. Not because of the scrapbook part, which I love, but because of the using a sentiment on a page part. So I decided to use the stamp as part of my title and benefit from the fact that I was scrapping in English to turn it into something cute with single letters and numbers (which just doesn't really quite work in French).

First off, I stamped the  So Many Thanks image repeatedly on my Tempting Turquoise cardstock to create a pattern. Then, I created a ribbon border with the red striped ribbon. I wanted the stripes to be horizontal, so instead of using a long length of ribbon and folding it in half, I had to cut a series of small pieces and add them one underneath the other to achieve the wanted look. Then, I added a piece of sticky strip covered with red chunky glitter on the seam.

The bottom border was created with one of the tiny punches from the bundle currently sold in the Summer mini, with brads in the middle. the journaling block comes from the Favorite Things set, and it was embossed with white powder on red cardstock. The words describing my sister were handwritten on white cardstock with markers of various colors, handcut and then placed randomly (well, not so randomly - I did work on a few scenarios before gluing anything down) on the page.

Note: When I prepared this page, the Pacific Point color was not available in Craft Ink, so what I did to cover the 4 is use Brilliant Blue Craft ink instead, which was a close-enough match to work.

Mon plus gros défi avec l'étampe So Many Thanks a été de faire une page de scrapbook. Pas la partie scrapbook, mais plutôt la partie "incorporer un souhait sur une page" puisque j'utilise généralement les souhaits sur des cartes. J'ai donc décidé de l'utiliser dans mon titre et de créer un titre un peu funky avec un mélange d'abréviations qui ne fonctionne bien qu'en anglais...

J'ai d'abord étampé mon image à répétition sur le papier cartonné Tentation turquoise pour créer un motif. Puis, j'ai créé une bordure avec le ruban rayé rouge. Je voulais que les rayures soient à l'horizontale, alors plutôt que de prendre un long bout de ruban et le plier en deux, j'ai plutôt pris plusieurs petits bouts que j'ai pliés et collés l'un sous l'autre. J'ai ensuite appliqué un bout de bande adhésive que j'ai recouvert de brillants charnus rouges.

La bordure du bas a été créée avec un des poinçons de l'ensemble de petits poinçons vendu dans le minicatalogue d'été et des attaches parisiennes turquoises. Le bloc de texte vient de l'ensemble Favorite Things. Il a été étampé en Versamark sur du papier cartonné rouge, embossé à la poudre blanche puis découpé. Des mots décrivant bien ma soeur ont été écrits à la main avec des marqueurs de différentes couleurs, découpés et placés aléatoirement (ou du moins de manière à créer l'impression que le placement était aléatoire!) sur la page.

À noter : J'ai recouvert mes lettres de chipboard avec de l'encre Craft. Comme je n'avais pas l'encre Pointe pacifique, j'ai utilisé l'encre Bleu brillant, qui se rapproche suffisamment de l'autre couleur pour bien s'agencer.

Convention Display Sample #3 - Glittered Puzzle

You might recognize the technique used on this card as one of the tutorial I have previously shared on my blog (see it HERE if you've missed it). I knew I wanted to use the red striped ribbon, so I took my glitter out to see which color combo I could create with them.

The ribbon threaded only on one side of the Hodgepodge Hardware frame adds a nice touch to the card, but that is not how it was first planned. I wanted to thread the ribbon in both holes of the frame, so I pulled it through the first side and it slid through with ease right away. Them, I started threading it in the second hole and I just couldn't get it to go through. I cut the ribbon at an angle, I tried rolling it first, folding it in half, cutting it again because at that point it was all raggedy and would only come through half-way then start unraveling like crazy... At that point, I knew it was not happening, but I just kept stubbornly trying, thinking, "If it worked on one side, there has to be a way to make it work again. Twenty freakin' minutes I spent trying with all my might to will the ribbon through.

Never worked. So I moved on to plan B: Use a brad instead and pretend threading the ribbon through only on one side was my original plan all along.

 

 

 

 

Vous reconnaîtrez peut-être la technique utilisée sur cette carte puisque je l'ai déjà partagé auparavant en tutoriel sur mon blogue (ICI si vous l'avez manqué). Comme je voulais utiliser le ruban rayé rouge sur mon projet, j'ai sélectionné ma combinaison de couleur en fonction des brillants que j'avais sous la main et qui s'agenceraient joliment.

J'aime bien le look du ruban inséré seulement d'un côté du cadre de métal, mais ce petit détail est provenu d'un petit changement de plan. Je voulais insérer le ruban des deux côtés du cadre de métal, alors j'ai pris mon ruban et je l'ai enfilé du premier côté. Jeu d'enfant : le ruban est passé comme dans du beurre. C'est du second côté que ça s'est gâté. J'ai coupé le ruban en biseau, j'ai tiré doucement, j'ai tiré de toutes mes forces (le métal a crochi, mais le ruban n'a pas suivi), j'ai roulé le bout, j'ai placé du ruban gommé sur le bout, j'ai essayé d'utiliser une aiguille, j'ai plié le ruban en deux, j'ai recoupé le bout à nouveau puisqu'il était rendu tout effiloché... Rien n'y a fait. Je voyais bien que je n'y arriverais pas, mais je n'arrêtais pas de me dire, "Si ça a marché d'un côté, ça dvrait pouvoir fonctionner pour l'autre également!" Après 20 minutes de combat acharné, j'ai pourtant dû abdiquer.

Je suis donc passée au plan B : utiliser une attache parisienne sur le second côté et faire accroire que c'est ce qui était prévu depuis le début!

Convention Display Samples #2 - A Rainbow of Thanks

This is the second sample I created using the So Many Thanks stamp. I wanted to create a rainbow look of some sort, so I used a sponge to apply ink in a gradation of colours on a piece of glossy cardstock. Then, I stamped the So Many Thanks image repeatedly in Versamark and heat-embossed with clear powder. Then, finally, I applied black ink all over my image with a brayer to make the colored words pop off. This emboss-resist technique is called Joseph's Coat and you find a tutorial for it on Splitcoast Stampers if you're looking to reproduce the look at home.

Next thing I did was stamp my main image four times in various colours on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and then punch the word Thanks out with the Word Window punch. I then gathered some ribbon scraps in colors that matched my rainbow text and added them to my card base and adding matching brads to the striped ribbons.

One detail that the camera didn't catch is that my card base has been spritzed with shimmery mist and it has a lovely shimmery effect that added a little bling to the design.

I hope this can inspire you to use your ribbon scraps!

 

 

 

 

Voici le deuxième échantillon que j'ai créé avec l'étampe So Many Thanks pour la convention. Je voulais reproduire un effet arc-en-ciel, alors j'ai appliqué de l'encre à l'éponge dans une gradation de couleur sur du papier cartonné lustré, j'ai laissé séché mes couleurs, puis j'ai étampé mon texte à plusieurs reprises en Versamark et j'ai embossé le tout avec de la poudre claire. J'ai ensuite appliqué de l'encre noire partout sur mon papier cartonné à l'aide d'un rouleau-tampon pour faire ressortir le texte. Cette technique de résistance à l'embossage s'appelle Joseph's Coat et vous pouvez trouver un tutoriel sur Splitcoast Stampers si vous désirez reproduire cette technique.

Ensuite, j'ai étampé mon image à nouveau avec diverses couleurs d'encre sur une retaille de papier cartonné Murmure blanc et j'ai poinçonné le mot Thanks avec le poinçon Fenêtre de texte. J'ai fait le tour de mes retailles de ruban pour trouver des couleurs assorties à mon texte et j'ai aussi ajouté des attaches parisiennes de même teinte sur les rubans rayés.

Un détail que la caméra ne laisse pas paraître est mon arrière-fond noir, qui a été vaporisé avec le Smooch Spritz vanille, pour créer un effet miroitant qui ajoute un peu de punch à la carte.

Convention Display Samples #1 - Carton Milk Box

Okay, so I've got a little bit of good news to share with you today. Last Spring I have been selected to be a Convention Display Stamper for SU! and now that convention is coming to an end, I can finally open the vault and reveal my projects to you!

Although I was not able to attend convention this year, I was able to find pictures of the display boards online and see that all of my samples had made it up on the boards! So for the next few weeks, I'll be sharing the projects I have prepared for the event with you.

Let me start with a small but oh-so-cute milk carton box I have decorated with the single stamp So Many Thanks. This is a cute new single stamp that you might have overlooked in the new cattie, but if you look at it closer, you'll notice that it includes thank yous in various languages, which you can use altogether or stamp separarely with the use of markers.

TIP: If you have assembled this box before, you might have experienced the same problem I have sometimes of keeping the top glued in place. Even using sticky strips, the top part will sometimes pop open after a while, so to avoid this happening, I punched two small holes with a handheld punch and thread the linen thread through both sides of the box top before threading it through the button. Cute and useful!

Here is a close-up of how the box looks. You might recognize the papers as the ones from the Greenhouse Gala pack, from which I cut the wavy band and the flowers:

 

 

 

 

Le printemps dernier, j'ai été sélectionnée par SU! pour préparer des échantillons mettant en vedette les jeux d'étampes qui seraient remis aux participantes de la convfention et maintenant que la convention est terminée, je peux enfin partager avec vous les projets que j'ai préparés le mois dernier.

Débutons avec une mignonne petite boîte à lait décorée avec l'étampe So Many Thanks. Cette étampe vendue individuellement est multilingue et contient le mot merci dans diverses langues. Vous pouvez étamper le tout en bloc ou utiliser un marqueur pour sélectionner une langue uniquement, ce qui vous offre plusieurs options avec une seule et même .

CONSEIL: Si vous avez déjà utilisé la découpe Boîte à lait, vous avez peut-être remarqué que le haut de la boîte peut parfois être difficile à coller en place, même avec de la bande adhésive. Pour cette raison, j'ai ici poinçonné deux petits trous avec un poinçon à main et inséré le fil de linen dans les deux trous avant d'enfiler le bouton et de nouer en place. Cela solidifie le haut de la boîte en place tout en décorant.

Les papiers utilisés pour décorer la boîte viennent de l'ensemble Gala de verdure, dans lesquels j'ai coupé la bande en zigzag et les fleurs.
