And this is it! My final convention sample for you today. Below is the 3D project I made with the Be of Good Cheer suite. I used the Stocking die to make a pocket in which you can slip any kind of gift - money, gift card, small treat... I embellished it to my little heart's desire, using Silver glimmer paer, ribbons, pearls, Red Dazzling Details... The two candy canes at the top were stamped using the Chock-Full of Cheer stamp set.
I wanted the stocking to have the recipient's name on it. As I mentioned in previous posts, the only current alphabet I had left (dies or stamps) was Broadsheet Alphabet, so out it came again. Only problem it that it is quite big so the first name I tried to write (Sam) wasn't fitting on it!! I tried again with Seb, since I already had the S cut out and those letters were narrower than the M.
To create the tag, I folded a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in half before running through the Big Shot using a Framelits from the Apothecary Accents set. I stamped the mitten in versamark on the front and added "To: For:" over it, and added a rhinestone in the corner. Inside, I stamped "Merry Chrismas" in Gumball Green.
The rickrack trim was created using the Tasteful Trims die. The pinking trim around the toe and heel of the stocking are the leftover pieces I had from cutting the rickrack. It was malleable enough to follow the rounded shape of the toe and heel.
