Inspiration: Inspired By #20
There were three elements I drew from the inspiration picture: the hexagons, the colors and the wood. I got this idea that I could dust off my Hexagon Hive Thinlits and have flowers growing out of it.
I die-cut the shape out of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and then went looking for some flowers and picked the Beautiful Bouquet bundle. The colors were inspired by past ColourQ combo #127, which reproduces nicely the soft colours from the inspiration picture. I embossed the pink back piece with the Basket Weave 3D embossing folder, which adds jsut the right touch of texture.
A sentiment from the stamp set was embossed in Blushing Bride embossing powder and I used the retired Hexagon punch to punch it out of the patterned paper, and layer it with Dimensionals. I did the same thing with one of the top hexagon, using one of the discarded piece and mounting it on Dimensionals to layer over the existing grid.
