The Cat's Pajamas is having a blog challenge centered around the theme of coffee. Since their latest release included some hot beverage images. it was a bice opportunity to ink some new images and play along. I have made a list of theme I need cards of and retirement was one of them. When I spotted the kitty in her bathrobe with the newspaper and her coffee, I thought it would work well. I decided to paper piece the bathroom... and quickly discovered just how tiny the details on it are!! It worked out well and it looks great, but it required some precision cutting. The rest of the image was colored with Prismacolor pencils.
Another new thing I was happy to bring out: the stitched Framelits Stampin' Up! just released!! They were so popular that Stampin' Up! ran out and had to stop taking orders for them until they received some new stocks in. I managed to place an order right before they turned the order number off and the Framelits made it to my home at the end of last week. The kit includes stitched ovals, circles and squares, so I expect to be getting a lot of use out of those.
For the sentiment, I found out I have absolutely no English retirement related sentiments in my entire stash so I pulled out my typewriter and typed the words on patterned paper myself.
The design was inspired by Paper Craft Crew challenge #222.
