This card was inspired by The Greeting Farm November challenge (fall colours), the Tuesday Morning Sketch #378 and the beautiful color combo from Sunday Stamps #139. I paired Rich Razzleberry, Perfect Plum, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Delightful Dijon, with a touch of copper, and I really like how warm those colours look together.
The sentiment reads "Happy birthday wishes" and come from the Watercolor Wishes stamp set from the card kit with the same name. I embossed it in copper powder, and used Copper Foil sheets to die-cut branches and flowers from the Flourish Thinlits. I remembered some decorative staples I had from a long time ago and dug them out from the back of my closet (litterally). Copper enamel dots were made to finish embellishing. After messing up on a perfectly good card earlier this month, I played it safe this time around and made the accents on a spare sheet of acetate and let it dry before transferring later to the card. This allowed me to select the shapes and sizes I preferred. I've been practicing, but I still don't find half of the dots I make "round" enough. A bit of vanilla lace trim (from the current annual catalogue - it looks much nicer in person than in the picture) was added to the bottom of the sentiment strip as well.
